MoneyShop has 4 branches across the greater Auckland region, employing over 40 staff as well as a branch in Northland. These branches are located in Otahuhu, Takanini, Henderson and Manukau. If you have trouble coming to us we can come to you.

Warren Cardno opened the doors of the first MoneyShop in 1993, the Otahuhu Branch. It was a success doing around 5 loans in the first week. Warren soon starting hiring extra staff to help with the growing business, After three years of helping clients in South Auckland MoneyShop decided to spread its wings and opened the Avondale branch in 1996. The premises for the Avondale branch was originally a fast food takeout, it was joked that instead of Fast Food it was Fast Money!
In the year 2000 MoneyShop decided to help the central Auckland clients by opening the Quay St branch. In the same year MoneyShop opened a second branch in the city on Nelson Street. There was a small bit of competition between the branches but in the end it was Quay Street that prevailed. Nelson Street was turned into a base for the Credit Department until the lease expired.
Takanini Branch was opened in the year 2001 and MoneyShop was starting to be known as a force to be reckoned with in the finance business. We were growing fast and this was to be proved during one week in June when MoneyShop clocked up their first record of doing more than 100 loans in a week. With this success what better to do than open another branch?
With that thinking Henderson was opened in November 2001. This was a great success. Not only generating more clients but more discounters as well.
MoneyShop were very proud the day they lent their $100 millionth dollar, a real milestone which Warren marked by thanking each staff individually.
In 2003 MoneyShop hosted a function for all staff to celebrate another exciting milestone, the first 10 years. This was a great success and a good time to reflect on the years gone by. To think 10 years ago when MoneyShop first opened its doors it was just Warren and a few staff now MoneyShop was nearing 45 staff
